A Coherent Life is one that rationally and logically lived. The word “coherent” means logically connected or consistent. It comes from the Latin word meaning “to stick”; the word “cohesive” also comes from this Latin word.

What is The Coherent Life?

The Coherent Life was founded by Jim Risser after he had an epiphany about how to live life free from pain and suffering. The Coherent Life is based on six values: Internalized Assurance, Eternal Ecstasy, Indissoluble Love, Armored Tranquility, Fervid Enthusiasm, and Profound Abundance.

How do can I achieve a Coherent Life?

A Coherent Life is achieved by internalizing the six values. To internalize the six values you must follow the threefold formula: Study, Practice, and Conviction.

What is does the practice of The Coherent Life entail?

The Coherent Life practice has four components: Daily Practice, Frequent Associations, Neighborhood Gathers, and Monthly Organizational Summits.
  • Daily Practice: Mindful connection to the Coherent Life; Concerted effort to internalize the Six Values.
  • Frequent Associations: As often as you can, at least once a week, get together socially with others living the Coherent Life. 
  • Neighborhood Gathers: Once a month get together with all those living the Coherent Life in your neighborhood. Study and discuss the six values.
  • Monthly Organizational Summits: Get together with those living the Coherent Life in your region. Leaders will give guidance.

  • Eternal Ecstasy: Being happy no matter what the circumstances.
  • Indissoluble Love: Loving yourself and others as if they were you; not relying on others for love.

  • Profound Abundance: Living a life filled the materials, people, and energy to live the Coherent Life.

What does it mean that I am GOD?

GOD is the acronym for Good, Omniscient, and Divinity. These are inherent qualities that each of us was born with.

What is “The Rule of Divinity”?

The Rule of Divinity states that “Everything is one; one is the greatest power.” This rule validates the power inherent in each of us; we are collectively part of this power.

Doesn’t that contradict Christian teachings?

No, there are several verses in the New Testament that collaborate this oneness:
  • “But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17
  • “That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.” John 17:11
  • “By which exceedingly great and precious promises are given to us, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:4

What is the Coherent Life’s concept of God?

The Coherent Life’s concept of God is that we are one with God; God is not a separate entity from ourselves. We are like a drop of water and God is the ocean—the two are indistinguishable from one another.

It is impossible for us to truly acknowledge this fact; it is beyond human understanding. It is like a two-dimensional stick figure drawing trying to understand our three-dimensional world.

Is The Coherent Life a religion?

No, The Coherent Life is secular organization. Founder Jim Risser created the organization to teach people to live a life that is coherent, free from pain and suffering, and filled with love and happiness.
